2007

I can't believe it's already 2007. Each year seems to go by faster than the one before. Our kids seem to grow faster as each year passes. In 2007, our kids will turn 7, 5 and 2! What an amazing thought. Each new year marks a beginning. On the calendar, obviously. But, its a fresh start in so many ways. Resolutions abound. Goals are set. Missions are renewed. There's an air of hopefulness, enthusiasm and anticipation. I'm not sure why we wait for January to begin anew, but I guess that's better than never, right?
I'm not usually a big resolution person, but, this year I've decided to try it out. I am a list-maker. To a fault, most would say. Resolutions give me an excuse to make a list. I figure if I share my list, it will give me a sense of accountability (and perhaps accomplishments to share?).
So, here goes:
1-Read through the Bible (I got a one year Bible for Christmas, so that will come in handy)
2-Make a fresh commitment to daily time with the Lord & to prayer journaling
3-Get back to eating healthy & exercising (isn't that on everyone's list?)
4-Wash my face every night (that may sound lame, but I'm REALLY bad about this...much to my Mary-Kay-mother's dismay!!!)
5-Get all my pictures organized into photo albums, frames, etc (that will take an entire year!)
6-Make sure I truly live my priorities: God first & family second, keeping my marriage before the kids
7-Make homeschooling FUN!

I'm sure I'll add to that list as the year goes on (but hopefully not take away!)!

Happy 2007 & Happy Resoluting, if that's your cup of tea!

Angela, I can so relate to all of your resolutions but the one about washing your face every night sure did hit home. It must be that we are just to tired some nights and fall into bed exhausted. At least thats my excuse.

Happy New Year!

1. Eat more
2. Gain weight
3. Cry more
4. Laugh more
5. Be more hormomal

That pretty much sums up atleast the next 6 months!

Then after that:
1. Lose weight
2. Eat less
3. Still Cry
4. Still Laugh
5. Still be hormonal

Well there's always next year! :)

You are so ambitious and goal oriented! I am envious as I have totally lost my mo-jo.
