Grandma's visit

What a week we've had! Ed's mom flew back to Texas yesterday, after being here a week. We had a ton of fun and did so many "fun things," as Jakey says.
The day after Thanksgiving, she and I went shopping at 5:30 in the morning! It was a little nutty, but we had a great time! Later that day, we put up our Christmas tree and lights outside. Ed's mom made us a beautiful tree skirt and bought the kids super-cute stockings!! I don't know if you can tell in the picture or not, but their names are embroidered on them.
We also went to a drive-through light display called Jolly Holiday Lights, to the mall, out to eat WAY too much (I only cooked twice the whole time she was here and that includes Thanksgiving!!), we went to Jumpin Jacks (an indoor play place - think: Chuck E. Cheese minus the pizza) and to the movies (to see The Santa Claus 3)!
Ed and I also managed a night out alone to the movies to see Stranger than Fiction (weird movie) and found time to paint our entry hall (hard to tell from the picture, but its a "cappuccino" brown)!
I'm amazed at how much we were able to cram in! I'm disappointed that we didn't take more pictures and that I didn't get one of the kids and Grandma together! I'll do better next time! We had a great time and the kids are already asking when she's coming back! Thanks for a great week, Grandma!

welcome back Angela, I've missed reading your blog. I love the TEXAS sign over the fire place, there's no place like home I'm sure. The mantel and stockings look great, what a wonderful grandma to stay for a week and share special times with you guys. Happy Holidays.
