Gingerbread house!

This was a first for us! Saturday morning, we built our very first gingerbread house! We "cheated," big time...and bought a kit, complete with icing, candy and gingerbread pieces to assemble! It was perfect for the kids...they had a GREAT time putting it together and "sneaking" a bite now and then (as if we didn't notice)! They are very proud of their creation! I'm not convinced the icing is really "edible," considering its like mortar! Oh well, it's more fun and decoration than dessert for us, anyway!

Those are the best kind of gingerbread houses, they go together pretty quickly and kids don't get frustrated waiting for the finished
product. It looks great guys!

How fun! It looks great and what a way to build family memories. It's hard to believe they would sneak any bites...they look so angelic standing there. :)

Awnna just did her first one with her nana - they started from scratch and by the end they were wishing that they had chosen a kit - but the creation is beautiful. Grandpa phil video taped the whole deal and they pretended to be putting on a tv show - their names were Martha and Mrs. Stewart and Mr. Stewart. Too much fun!
